All parents dream about walking their kids down the aisle. If your daughter is getting married soon, you will probably have happy tears during the ceremony when you see your girl walking in a beautiful wedding dress with a sola wood bridal bouquet in her hands. However, those happy tears might turn into normal tears when the official ceremony is over, and the reception starts, because you might need to say a wedding speech. And every guest will listen to what you have to say. In many cases, there are four parents attending the wedding ceremony, so should all of them give a speech?

Parents of the Bride Speak First

According to all traditions, the bride's parents have to make the first toast and welcome every guest to the celebration. That is not an easy task, especially to people who are not used to giving public speeches. In many cases, it is the father who delivers the speech as a mother stands nearby. However, it is not a rule that the bride's father has to give a toast instead of the mother. Of course, the best-case scenario would be for both of them to say a combined speech as it would make it more appealing to the guests. Also, both parents would feel support from each other. If you are afraid to stand in front of all the guests openly, you can try hiding behind the desk or holding a sola wood wedding bouquet, which would attract everyone's attention.

Groom's Parents Can Avoid Speaking

Of course, everyone will expect the groom's parents to say at least a couple of words about the wedding and the couple. That said, there are no exact traditions that force the groom's parents to give a wedding speech. And yet, to tighten the bond between both families and publicly show the support for the newlyweds, the groom's parents have to prepare at least a short speech. If you are a mother/father of the groom and still looking for ideas, just compliment the bride, wish the best luck for a new family, and say that you will always be there to help. And of course, don't forget to express your happiness about the wedding itself with all the sola wood wedding flowers, beautiful guests, and a festive atmosphere.

Don't Stress

If you are not used to public speaking, it might be easy to get lost in the moment and panic. However, remember that the newlyweds are extremely happy to have you around, and nobody expects a grand speech from you. As long as you stay genuine, the guests will appreciate everything that you say. It is the biggest day of your kid's life, so don't spend the whole day thinking about how to deliver your speech. Instead, grab a sola wood rose, enjoy the ceremony, and relax. Your kid just got married, isn't that great?
